Our Story

In Arizona, 1 in 6 people struggle with hunger. In the southwest valley, the ratio is higher. While there are food banks that provide monthly food boxes to families in need, there is no soup kitchen or any such place where people can go to get a free nourishing meal.

Ramandeep Singh ("Raman") Khurana, and Jana Dutton, the two principals at PerfOpt Technologies Inc., felt compelled to make a difference. In 2014, they started a Corporate Giving program which provided a grant to the Goodyear food bank to start a community kitchen at its location. In addition to providing the financial support, the principals also started the Not Hungry Tonight program, in February 2015, to deliver the meals prepared by the kitchen to low-income senior facilities, Title-1 schools, and after school programs. .

We want to acknowledge and thank all the volunteers and team members who have helped make each food distribution event successful.
